Daredevil Star Charlie Cox Calls Returning for Born Again “Surreal”

Since Marvel Studios has fabricated the biggest franchise in Hollywood, the creation house often manages to pull off the unthinkable. Sometimes that means bringing Patrick Stewart’s Charles Xavier back in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and other times it’s making a Halloween special based on Werewolf by Night, one of Marvel’s least-known characters. One of those Leap of faith’s the Kevin Feige-drove outfit as of late tossed was relaunching the Daredevil franchise, just a couple of years after the series was dropped by Netflix.
In the wake of taking the stage at D23 Exhibition to massive applause, Daredevil star Charlie Cox let it be known felt surreal being ready to return as the Man Unafraid.
“It’s truly been surreal. It’s been truly close to home and I’m past invigorated and thankful,” Cox told Marvel.com. “I met some of the writers of the show last night and I was like, ‘Could we at any point start sooner?'”
Before his own series launches in Daredevil: Born Again, the character will get back to surprisingly realistic thanks to She-Mass: Attorney at Regulation.
“He has such veneration and love for that character. Obviously the character implied so a lot to him, yet he also came exceptionally game to mess about,” She-Mass essayist Jessica Gao said in a visit with Collider recently. “He was totally up for more amusing talk and having this great dynamic with Jen and She-Mass.”
“It truly feels like the character from the comics. It was so fun because he truly does squeeze into the show so impeccably,” she added. “They’re the two lawyers, and they’re both superheroes. Who else can say that they have that in common? It was just extremely fun thinking about what their dynamics would be, based on the personalities of these two characters.”
Daredevil: Born Again is supposed to drop Spring 2024. The first three seasons of Daredevil and The Defenders restricted series can now be seen on Disney+.
