Phil Spencer Still Wants Final Fantasy 14 on Xbox
While Xbox clients can play a weighty number of titles in the Final Fantasy series, Final Fantasy 14 remains selective to PlayStation and PC. Xbox manager Phil Spencer noted in 2019 that he needed to see the MMO show up on Xbox, yet nothing has changed after almost three years. Fortunately, it appears Spencer has not failed to remember his prior remarks. Japanese outlet Game Watch as of late gotten some information about the chance of Final Fantasy XIV finally coming to Xbox. While Spencer offered nothing concrete, he gave a little desire to those that still need to witness it.
“We certainly declared that (snickers). Naturally, we haven’t surrendered at this point. This is a responsibility from both Microsoft and Square Enix to gamers and we will continue to coordinate our endeavors,” Spencer told Game Watch.
Final Fantasy 14 has been around for a long while, yet the game saw a tremendous increase in interest throughout the past year, thanks to some extent to high-profile decorations on Jerk. For a brief period, interest really became too much for Square Enix to handle, forcing the publisher to put a transitory end on new deals for the game. Things have chilled off a piece since then, however a Xbox port could certainly bring about much more players checking the game out.
Recently, Square Enix spread out a 10-year guide for Final Fantasy 14, so the organization has no designs to stop supporting it at any point in the near future. Of course, that guide included no designs for Xbox, yet that could certainly change eventually. For the time being, Xbox fans will simply need to keep a watch out in the event that the situation changes, and on the off chance that Spencer and Square Enix can find a smart way to get it going. Up to that point, Final Fantasy XIV is accessible on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC, and perusers can look at all of our past inclusion of the game here.
Could it be said that you are a Xbox fan hoping for a Final Fantasy 14 port? Do you think the game will at any point show up on Microsoft’s platform?
