The first Inside Out starred Phyllis Smith, Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling, Lewis Dark, and Bill Hader – – among numerous others – – in a story that focused on human emotions maneuvering for control of the cerebrum of Riley (Kaitlyn Dias), who is struggling to adjust to a move. The film procured more than $850 million universally, making it one of Pixar’s top-grossing films ever. Also, considering that movies like Toy Story and The Incredibles wound up acquiring more for their sequels than for their underlying installments, that has to cause Disney to feel quite a bit better about Inside Out 2’s prospects.

From the tepuis of South America to a monster-filled metropolis, Institute Award®-winning chief Pete Docter has taken audiences to remarkable and imaginative places. In 2015, he will take us to the most exceptional location of all – inside the brain of a 11-year-old named Riley. Growing up can be a rough street, and it’s no special case for Riley, who is removed from her Midwest life when her father starts a new position in San Francisco.
Like us all, Riley is directed by her emotions – Delight (Amy Poehler), Dread (Bill Hader), Outrage (Lewis Dark), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control community inside Riley’s psyche, where they assist with advising her through daily existence. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to another life in San Francisco, unrest ensues in Headquarters. In spite of the fact that Euphoria, Riley’s fundamental and most significant inclination, tries to keep things positive, the emotions struggle on how best to navigate another city, house and school.
