Steam Weekly Top Seller Is a Surprising Racing Game
The latest game on Steam to appear in the top spot of the PC platform’s weekly “Top Sellers” spot is a racing title that launched nearly four years ago. Generally, the Top Sellers chart on Steam is usually loaded up with games that have released somewhat as of late. Disney Dreamlight Valley, for example, made massive progress on Valve’s PC marketplace this past week after it launched via early access. And regardless of this fast start for Dreamlight Valley, it was a more established game that turned out to be the huge champ.
Within the past week, Forza Horizon 4 happened to be the top-selling game that was sold around the world on Steam. While Forza Horizon 5 may be the latest passage in the series, it was the fourth section that wound up just trailing the Steam Deck as the top rated thing on Steam altogether for the week. Following behind Forza Skyline 4 for the week was that of Red Dead Recovery 2 and Marvel’s Bug Man Remastered. Meanwhile, new releases in NBA 2K23 and the aforementioned Disney Dreamlight Valley wound up opening in fifth and 6th separately.

So how did Forza Horizon 4 wind up finding real success on Steam this week in spite of launching all the way back in 2018? Indeed, the game happened to be discounted heavily on Steam. At present, Forza Horizon 4 has been marked somewhere around 67% of its usual cost, making it just $19.79 altogether. And considering that the Top Sellers chart on still up in the air by income rather than units sold, clearly, this sale provoked the game to make a colossal resurgence.
