“I’ve contemplated that a great deal and think the show’s success is a response to all the negative public discourse that’s been all around our screens, in the media, in the news that’s become so mean and unpleasant,” Goldstein previously told Men’s Journal. “Individuals were pleased with being horrendous to one another and it was revolting and disturbing how standardized it had all become. So the success of Ted Lasso speaks to the fact that we are so starved to see individuals look out for one another, despite challenges in their own life. The show took advantage of this requirement for tolerability.
Notwithstanding his beloved performance in Ted Lasso, Goldstein as of late made his presentation as Hercules in the post-credits scene of Thor: Love and Thunder recently. While Goldstein’s future as the notorious person in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is right now obscure, he as of late expressed how excited and baffled he was by the casting.
“No, I didn’t have any idea what it was for,” Goldstein explained in an interview with The Playlist last month. “I was informed that some Marvel individuals might want to have a Zoom with you, and I met with them and it was just so surreal because… it was in a real sense all of a sudden one evening and I was extremely busy and it was like, ‘Could you at any point set aside a few minutes for a Zoom?’ ‘Yes, sure.'”
“And they go on Zoom and they just let me know what you see in the film, which is they sort of opened with, ‘So Russell Crowe is Zeus,’ and I’m like, ‘Better believe it, alright, go on,'” Goldstein continued. “And blah, blah, blah. And then they pivot and they uncover ‘It’s Hercules; it’s you.’ And I went, ‘What?’ Just like, ‘Would you say you are serious? Is it true that you are f**king with me? Is this a wind-up?’ So no doubt, it was as surprising to me as I think it has been to other individuals.”
What do you think of Goldstein winning another Emmy for Ted Lasso?
