Two of Marvel’s most popular supernatural legends are expected for a get-together. Moon Knight Annual #1 will see the arrival of Jack Russell, aka the Werewolf by Night, who will soon also star in a self-named Disney+ special presentation. Moon Knight and Werewolf by Night have a long history together, yet the annual will be whenever they’ve first met face-to-face since Marvel launched another volume of Moon Knight by Jed MacKay and Alessandro Cappuccio. The two Marvel characters are about to be brought together by and by, yet find themselves on various sides of a brewing war.

ComicBook.com has the exclusive first gander at October’s Moon Knight Annual #1 by Jed MacKay and Federico Sabbatini. It shows Jack Russell in his human structure alongside several werewolves, who are looking to bring their colossal transformations to an end by killing a divine being. This god being referred to is no doubt the moon god Khonshu, who Moon Knight is the avatar for. The prediction calls for the blood of the Clench hand of Khonshu, yet the review pages reveal Werewolf by Night going to Moon Knight’s daughter, Diatrice, instead. Moon Knight and his on-again-off-again rival, Tracker’s Moon, team up to safeguard Diatrice and ward off an army of werewolves.

“It’s been great seeing individuals answer our MOON KNIGHT series, and it’s always somewhat of a rush to give people significantly more — and MOON KNIGHT ANNUAL #1 was the place to return to some old history,” MacKay explained. “Moon Knight has changed a great deal since he initially fought with the Werewolf by Night, yet so has Jack Russell, and having the chance to perceive how these two interact now, all these years later, has been loads of tomfoolery. And Jack isn’t the main player in Moon Knight’s set of experiences who is turning up when Federico Sabbatini joins us for another adventure (and draws the damnation out of it, I should add).”
