WWE Raw: Damage Control Win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships

Bayley’s Damage Control group got its first championship rule on this week’s Monday Night Raw, overcoming Raquel Gonzalez and Aliyah. The two teams met in the finals to crown new champions last month, just for Aliyah and Gonzalez to pull off the shocking upset. The two attempted to win the match precisely the same way this time around, however Dakota Kai figured out how to remove from Aliyah’s pin endeavor without a moment to spare. Aliyah then hit a Springboard Fameasser, however Bayley moved her leg onto the rope to break the count. Iyo Sky took out Gonzalez with a Moonsault outside the ring, while Kai hit her sunset backstabber finisher to get the win.
Both Kai and Sky held the women’s tag titles down in NXT, yet with supported focus on the women’s division under Triple H’s leadership, it’s entirely possible that this rule will be longer than any of their reigns from the formative brand. The gathering also has the opportunity to be hung in gold soon as Bayley continues to pursue Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s Championship.
