Xbox Explains Why It's Not Raising Series X Pricesac

Xbox boss Phil Spencer has explained on why it has chosen to not raise prices on the Xbox Series X|S. Gaming is an exceptionally expensive hobby and it’s seemingly one of the most expensive mainstream hobbies there is. Most significant games cost a minimum of $59.99 and some are in any event, charging $69.99 now because of the rising costs in game development. Consoles costs hundreds of dollars, hardware can cost just under $100 or really depending on its quality, and to play online and get different benefits, you’ll require a subscription that costs dozens of dollars. It’s pricy and it’s not getting any less expensive. In some regions, Sony has increased the cost of the PlayStation 5 because of inflation, making the boundary to passage significantly more troublesome.
Xbox immediately emerged to state that it will not be doing the same on its current-gen consoles, leaving Sony as an exception in this move. Speaking to CNBC, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer was asked if that remained valid and he reaffimed the decision. Despite the fact that Spencer can’t preclude the chance that it does occur in the future because of monetary uncertainties, there are no plans to increase the cost. Spencer noted that the worth of the consoles are important and that the low passage cost of the Xbox Series S has been both incredibly useful to Microsoft and the players.
“We’re always evaluating our business going forward,” said Spencer. “I don’t think we can at any point say on anything that we won’t ever follow through with something. In any case, when we look at our consoles today, […] Series X and Series S, we think esteem is incredibly important. We love the position of Series S on the lookout, which is our cheaper console. Over portion of our new players that we’re finding are coming in through Series S. And I can definitely say we have no plans today to raise the prices of our consoles […] we don’t think it’s the right move for us as of now to be raising prices on our console.”

Of course, things can change at any given moment, yet it’s reasonable the pricing is vital to Xbox. Given Xbox Series S offers a passage to the new age of consoles at almost around 50% of the cost of the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, it would be damaging to increase the cost. A s of the present moment however, it doesn’t seem like there’s any indication that Xbox will increase prices.
