Another Star Trek: The Cutting edge alum, Ronny Cox, is returning to the Star Trek universe. During the Star Trek universe board at New York Comic Con, the creatives behind the vivified series Star Trek: Wonder uncovered, notwithstanding the show’s midseason trailer, Cox’s return as the voice of Adm. Edward Jellico. Cox previously played Capt. Edward Jellico in surprisingly realistic in the two-section Star Trek: The Cutting edge episode “Hierarchy of leadership.” In the episode, he assumed control over the Enterprise while Capt. Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) set out on a secret mission for Starfleet. Jellico’s strict order style and standoffish way to deal with tact contrasted with Picard’s, prompting clashes with the ship’s first official, Cmdr. William Riker (Jonathan Frakes).
Jellico’s part in Star Trek: Wonder seems similar to his job in “Chain in Order.” As a Starfleet admiral overseeing Bad habit Admiral Kathryn Janeway’s (Kate Mulgrew) mission to the Delta Quadrant in search of the Protostar and its unique team (counting Chakotay). Jellico’s job is that of “foil” to Janeway, making her mission more troublesome. You can see the first gander at Jellico in the energized series beneath.
Cox is the second Star Trek: The Age guest star to join the Star Trek: Wonder cast. The series previously declared Billy Campbell’s return as the roguish Thaduin Okona from the Star Trek: The Cutting edge episode “The Outrageous Okona.”
Star Trek: Wonder returns from its midseason hiatus on Thursday, October 27th, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., and on Friday, October 28th in Latin America, Australia, Italy, and the U.K. New episodes of the 10-episode-long second 50% of Star Trek: Wonder Season 1 presentation week after week on Thursdays. The series will air later in the year in South Korea, Germany, Italy, France, Austria, and Switzerland.
In the leftover Star Trek: Wonder Season 1 episodes, “as the confident group makes their direction toward Starfleet, their dreams are undermined when they discover the U.S.S. Protostar harbors a weapon designed to destroy the Unified League of Planets. To exacerbate the situation, the U.S.S. Dauntless is on a manhunt for the Protostar as the genuine Bad habit Admiral Janeway is anxious to reveal what has been going on with her missing previous First Official Chakotay. With these two ships on a collision course and destruction not too far off, the destiny of the Alpha Quadrant hangs yet to be determined.”
